Sarah and Matthew had a beautiful Country Club of Spartanburg Wedding. The reception at the country club was preceded by their ceremony, held at Westminster Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg. There were so many things I loved about Sarah and Matthew’s wedding day, and here are just a few:

A Brunch Reception
While an early ceremony time of 10:30 am meant an early start to the day of 8:15 to begin photos, it allowed for a brunch reception at the Country Club of Spartanburg. In all of my years of wedding photography, this was the first Brunch reception I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of. It was such a great idea! The brunch had delicious food that all the guests enjoyed for sure! My personal favorite was the mini chicken and waffles. So yummy!

The Positive Attitudes
Sarah and Matthew had such positive attitudes the entire day. It rained the ENTIRE day! There was no break in the rain whatsoever from start to finish. When I saw the forecast before the wedding day of 90-100% chance of rain continuously, I have to admit I was a little disappointed. There are some pictures I normally do, that I just can’t do in the rain. I’m going to do all I can to capture the best photos for my couples that the circumstances allow. I sent emails with Sarah a few days before the wedding with a rain plan, and after that, it wasn’t mentioned again! Everyone was just so excited and happy for this couple to get married, that the rain didn’t dampen any spirits. A covered entrance at the Country Club of Spartanburg helped us to still get gorgeous Bride and Groom Portraits!

Classic Wedding Dress
Sarah’s wedding dress was absolutely gorgeous. I say this about every wedding dress I get the honor of seeing on wedding days, because each bride’s dress truly fits their personality just right. It was no different for Sarah’s dress. I loved that she chose to have sleeves, which added such a classic element to her dress. Likewise, the intricate buttons down the back were also such an added element of elegance, which also fit Sarah’s kind and elegant personality!

A Violinist
This couple chose to have a violinist play for their entire reception as the DJ! Ashanti Floyd of The Mad Violinist was absolutely amazing. I wish I could convey how awesome he was. I try to think of things to highlight on these blog posts that are unique and different to each couple. Sarah and Matthew’s choice to use him as their exclusive DJ was such a highlight of the day! Go follow him on Instagram here.

Many More
There were many more things that stood out to me during Sarah and Matthew’s day at the Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Country Club of Spartanburg Wedding. However, I know that what is most important is getting to see a sneak peek of all the images. So enjoy the highlights from their day below!

Congrats again to the newlyweds, Sarah and Matthew! It was an honor and privilege to serve you and your families on your wedding day through capturing your photos. I hope you’ve enjoyed all the sneak peeks!
