We had been planning Aubrey and Brian’s Engagement Session for months at Freedom Park in Charlotte, NC. I had to drive about 1 1/2 hours and they had to drive about 45 minutes to meet there. I had only been to this park one other time, and didn’t know that they sometimes held public events there! We found out when we arrived that there was a Festival in the Park that night – and HUNDREDS of people!! So much so, that we started the session 30 minutes later than planned (because I couldn’t get into the park and had to park a couple blocks away!) Even so, we moved on with the session, and I’m so glad we did!! Aubrey and Brian took my directions well for helping with their posing, and they made it their own, interacting with each other and just enjoying their time together! We went down to the creek under one of the bridges to be away from the crowds at first while they got comfortable and used to my posing and shooting techniques. Then we eventually moved out into the crowd. (Check out my insta stories to see how crowded it really was . . . because hopefully you can’t even tell from these pictures.) These two were amazing and just ignored people who were sitting only a couple feet away from them as I asked them to smile, embrace, and kiss in front of everyone. You wouldn’t have known it though, because they just enjoyed each other! Exactly my goal during engagement sessions. It was such an honor to help celebrate your engagement.
