I have been an exclusive wedding photographer for the past 5 years, and 2022 is the year I'm choosing to transition my business to offer editing services too. I will start slowly and work with just the right clients. 2022 is the first year I'm offering editing services.
What you really want to know:
At first, my turn around times may be a little longer, as this is a new service for me. I will aim to have photos done within 7-10 business days after receiving your catalog of images. If it will be any longer, I will communicate ahead of time. You will be paying a reduced price at first, as an initial client of mine.
"What is your average turn around time?"
Yes, all clients will need the most up to date version of LightRoom Classic. This will ensure there are no problems with transfers of photos back and forth.
"Do I need a certain version of LightRoom?"
No, I will not require any minimum number of weddings. However, I do expect good communication about what weddings you plan to send me, so I can ensure I have time in my editing schedule to complete it. I will send email communication and questionnaires to help us both plan well!
"Do I have to send every wedding I shoot?"
Yes, we will have a written contract that outlines all the specifics of our working agreement. This will be sent and filled out and signed digitally by both parties. This is to protect us both! If at any time either of us decide we are not a good fit to work together, the contract can be exited with written notice. I will then do all I can to help you find a different editor that will work for you!
"Will we have a contract?"
To begin with, edits will be 0.28 / image. (An awesome deal for you!!) This lower price will be for a limited time, and any increase would be communicated ahead of time. Edits included are basic LightRoom edits for white balance, exposure, contrast, clarity, vibrance, & cropping/straightening. Any additional labor intensive edits would have an additional fee paid and agreed upon ahead of time. I do not offer Photoshop editing at this time.
"What is the price and what is included?"
No, it is my job to match your style. I do require that you send me a few anchor images for each part of the wedding day in different lighting situations, so I can see how you want those images edited. I will walk you through that whole process of how to code your anchor images, how to send the LightRoom gallery to me (through dropbox), and how to get your completed gallery back. It's all a simple, step by step process that I will give you written instructions on!
"Does my style have to match yours?"
I will not be able to regularly offer rush services, as galleries will be completed in the order in which they are received. However, if it is an extenuating circumstance, you can always ask if I have time to rush it, and I can let you know if I am able to. A rushed gallery would incur a rush gallery fee, which we would agree upon ahead of time.
"Can I get my gallery rushed?"
I will make every effort necessary to ensure you are 100% happy with your edits, but this will be a process between us. It will require good communication on both ends. If you are unsatisfied with your edits, we will discuss it and I will provide a free re-edit for any image you are unhappy with, provided you give me specifics of what you want changed. We will work together to make this a win for both of us!
"What if I'm unhappy with my edits?"
At this time, I am not offering culling services. If this is something you are interested in, please let me know and I may work to include it as an additional service in the future!
